Pronghorn Antelope , this animal is the only one of its kind on this Planet, (and probably any other one). Its name "Pronghorn" literally means "American antelope goat." but it is neither Antelope or Goat and belongs to a Family of Animals to which it is the only surviving member.The Pronghorn is the only animal in the world with branched horns (not antlers) and the only animal in the world to shed its horns. the Pronghorn is the fastest animal in the western hemisphere, running in 20-foot bounds at up to 60 miles per hour

In 1915, after the American pronghorn was almost hunted to extinction, there were only 15,000 animals. Today, there are less than 700,000, but some types of pronghorn, such as the Sonoran, are still on the brink of extinction.
